Vincent Lauga – A Solar Trike for the Birds

Vincent Lauga has travelled across Europe by bike with his family for more than ten years (transeuropexpe). In 2024 he finally joined the Sun Trip, riding to the Sahara like the migratory birds.

His T-Tris trike has a Bafang crank motor, two 36 V batteries (520 and 350 Wh) and two panels: 110 W on the trike (tiltable) and 135 W on a two-wheel trailer. He aimed to recharge only from the sun.

Riding for the LPO (Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux), he wanted to raise awareness of the problems faced by migratory birds.
