Patrick Abrams – From Cycle2Sydney to a Solar Trailer

About this project

Patrick Abrams is a serious long-distance cyclist: in 2015 he rode London to Sydney, 23,500 km at 175 km a day (cycle2sydney), and in 2017 the Trans Am Bike Race, 7,000 km at 240 km a day.

His solar setup is unusual: a normal bicycle pulling a trailer that carries everything: a 350 W motor, a 75 Ah LiFePO4 battery and 400 Wp of solar panels that can turn on one axis to follow the sun during the day.

As a software developer he works while travelling: “My bike and my computer are my best friends on the road.”
