His machine is a WAW velomobile, a fully enclosed, streamlined recumbent, built by Declic-Eco. It carries 480 Wp of solar, an RH512 wheel motor and two 48 V 11 Ah batteries (1,056 Wh). It was first tested on the roads of Corsica in October 2019.

After 2021 he said “never again”, but in 2024 he was back at the start of The Sun Trip – Destination Sahara, drawn by “the powerful personal emotions” of the adventure. Velomobiles are the most efficient pedal vehicles, see also the ELF.
