About this project
Sylvain & Carole Savaris (France) took part in Sun Trip Alpes 2023 and Sun Trip Alpes 2022, the long-distance adventure on solar-powered bikes held since 2013.
The machine is a solar tandem.
Sylvain Savaris had to abandon the 2022 Alps edition after an equipment failure. A Bikingman 2021 finisher who rides about 5,000 km a year on a regular bike, he came back in 2023 on a recumbent tandem shared with his wife Carole – who commutes 40 km a day by e-bike and is “tough, even if not fast”.
