Jean-Claude Trouche – An Azub Six Recumbent with Enviolo Hub

About this project

Jean-Claude Trouche built his first electric bike to commute 15 years ago. When his knees started to hurt at 60, he built a more powerful one. Watching the start of the Sun Trip 2018 he realised “the electric bike could be a superb travelling machine thanks to the sun”.

After a first Sun Trip Tour in 2019 on a mountain bike with an AEVON trailer, he now rides an Azub Six recumbent: a 20″ front wheel with a Grintech GH-0114 motor, a 26″ rear wheel with an Enviolo (NuVinci) continuously variable hub, a 48 V 1 kWh battery and a 360 Wp Declic-Eco solar generator. Weight: about 50 kg.
